Sorry folks, have had computer problems among other things . . .
Anyway, I just saw a post on Mantis Eye that has the date for the start of the second part of season 4 to start in August. That's real disapointing to those of use that where thinking spring.
Oh well, good things come to those that wait.

Brock Sampson will be back
I had not been on Jackson Publick's (AKA Christopher McCulloch) site Publick Nuisance in a while. I've been a little down on the latest Venture Brothers shows. I was very glad to see this post from November 15, 2009.
"Brock's absence has nothing to do with Patrick Warburton. He didn't ask for more money, he's not too busy for us, he hasn't refused to come back or anything of the sort. It was a creative choice on our part, and Brock WILL be back in the show at some point. Just not this week. Or next."
That was great news.

James Urbaniak in a Bathtub
Found this on YouTube. The voice of Dr. Venture on Adult Swim's "Venture Bros." sits down with comic Sara Benincasa in his kids' bathtub. Magic ensues.
Some of the comments are "Urbaniak is the coolest geek!" and "This is certainly the best interview in a bathtub I've seen all week. Perhaps even all month :)"

Venture Brothers - The Revenge Society
Just when I this this show can't get any fucking stranger . . . I'm starting to worry about the sanity of Doc and Jackson! It's good to see Phantom Limb back as Revenge! Still wanting to see Brock.
There are some great laughs in this show, which is whats important! I like the fact they brought back the orb and filled in some of the blanks. Can I say that I am really tired of Sergeant Hatred. They show just seems a little empty without Brock. To make the show really work, you need that strong character. Brock was sort of the voice of reason in a crazy household, but Hatred is just another crazy.
Rating for this show 2.5 out of 5!

Venture Brothers - Return to Malice
Does the Venture Brothers get weirder and weirder.
It begins like something big is going down. 21, looking for the killer of 24, kidnaps the Hank and Dean. Sergeant Hatred and Doc go go out to rescue the boy. Doctor Girlfriend seems to be keeping a secret from the The Monarch, who is suffering from something that makes his face look like John Merrick. It typical Venture Brothers fashion, the show ends up in the last way you'd expect.
What we learn: How 21 transformed into the beast he is now and his continuing friendship with 24.
Lots of good laughs in this show. Still no Brock and to be honest, I'm really getting tired of Hatred.
Rating for this show 3.5 out of 5!

Venture Brothers - Perchance to Dean

You've got to hand it to Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer, it would have been easy be like most shows and always end the show where is began. In other words, nothing every changes. (See The Simpsons). Here is season four of the Venture Brothers, we've seen major changed.
I have to admit that when the began with a flashback features Brock's first day as bodygaurd, I was hoping he was going to be featured in the show. But, no, it was just a set up for a mutant Dean.
I got a kick out of the progressive rock stuff but I'm old!
Anyway, I thought it was a good show, many laughs, and continues on the theme of Dean being Doc Ventures son and Hank being Brock's.
Feel free to let me know what you think!

Venture Brothers - Handsome Ransom

I love this episode. This is one of those episodes that is a stand alone show. it doesn’t have anything to do with the main, continuing story line. The first act gets a little creepy with the whole Hank and Captain Sunshine bedtime scene. Of course, this turns out to be a nice joke that I won’t spoil it for you.
I must say I was a little disappointed not to have Brock in the show. I’m still not a fan of Sgt. Hatred . I don’t know why but never found his character very funny. I was glad to see he might be reverting to his old pedophile ways, as weird as that sounds.
The whole episode is a whole weird take on Batman. In fact, Kevin Conroy, the voice of the latest cartoon Batman plays the voice of Captain Sunshine. Hank even asked his if he could introduce hi to Batman. I thought it was hilarious when Captain Sunshine assumed Hank use to be in the circus.
I am not gong to outline the show as you should see it yourself. THe show has The Monarch, Dr. Mrs. The Monarch, Pete White and Master Billy Quizboy. Another classic episode!
